I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
I'm also sorry that these pictures don't necessarily correspond to the dates...
October 14, Day 355:
October 15, Day 356:
The dog looks like a bat in this picture, which made me smile. :)
October 16, Day 357:
This was way too cute.
October 17, Day 358:
I bought this new toothbrush holder and frankly, I think it's pretty cool-looking.
October 18, Day 359:
The dog sleeps in really strange positions...
October 19, Day 360:
We went hiking on a hill near our house. I took this on the top of the hill... it was a very intense hike.
October 20, Day 361:
Us! Pardon how horrible I look here.
October 22, Day 362:
A boy and his dog :)
October 23, Day 363:
More couch pictures...
October 24, Day 364:
Me and the slut-dog.
October 25, Day 365:
This is obviously from today (November 4th) but I liked it. This is Rob's voting sticker.
Well thanks for following me, guys! This has been fun, albeit a bit stressful! :)
I'm so sorry for putting this off. I'm warning you right now, we recently got a dog, so most of these pictures are of our wonderful doggy, Cypress!
September 24, Day 335:
September 25, Day 336:
We bought this (these?) pumpkin(s) to decorate the apartment :)
September 26, Day 337:
And here's the other conjoined mini-pumpkin we bought :)
September 27, Day 338:
September 29, Day 340:
Here's Cypress :) She's part Siberian Husky, part Rottweiler, though we think there are some other breeds swimming around in there too. She's wonderful :)
September 30, Day 341:
Here she is again :)
October 1, Day 342:
Cypress looks a lot like my sister Megan's dog, Josie (though she is a bit bigger than Josie). This little stance is EXACTLY what Josie does--with her legs all spread out and her paws up like a kangaroo.
October 2, Day 343:
A boy and his dog :) Rob has been absolutely adorable with Cypress, it makes me very happy because he definitely deserves it :)
October 3, Day 344:
October 4, Day 345:
October 5, Day 346:
This is an example of Cypress's devotion to Rob. In this picture he's using the bathroom, and instead of following me around she laid down outside the door and waited for him.
October 6, Day 347:
October 7, Day 348:
Robbie walking with the dog :) She's great off-leash which is great because she gets tons of exercise by running back and forth.
October 8, Day 349:
October 9, Day 350:
October 12, Day 353:
It's me! With shorter hair, hooray!
October 13, Day 354:
September 11, Day 322:
September 12, Day 323:
Yes, that's frost on the roof (outside of our window) in SEPTEMBER. I hate how cold it's gotten.
September 13, Day 324:
September 14, Day 325:
This is from a mirror that my mom gave to us for our apartment. More attempts at artsiness on my part :)
September 15, Day 326:
I bought this purse in Portland the other day. It's freakin' huge but huge purses are extremely useful. Plus I love the design on the front, and the colors.
September 16, Day 327:
September 17, Day 328:
I wish these lupines were in real life, but they're actually on a poster that my mom gave to us.
September 18, Day 329:
Some more of our plants :) Nothing too exciting...
September 19, Day 330:
September 20, Day 331:
Yayyy for a new mattress and boxspring! I was so happy to get these...you have no idea.
September 21, Day 332:
This is my favorite game on the Wii...you can go through all of the episodes of Star Wars as Lego characters. Rob makes fun of me for playing it so much.
September 22, Day 333:
September 23, Day 334:
Our spider plant has gone out of control and now we're letting it grow around the curtain rod. I like this plant because even if we suck at taking care of it it still explodes. :)
August 31, Day 311:
September 1, Day 312:
September 3, Day 314:
September 4, Day 315:
Is it just me, or do these awnings make any building hideous?
September 5, Day 316:
Is it just me or is a random wooden cross kind of creepy? Not trying to be offensive, I just think it looks a bit strange.
September 6, Day 317:
September 7, Day 318:
Another pretty building. This is the public library and is beautiful both inside and out.
September 8, Day 319:
Pretty street. Very New England, I think. I do love Maine :)
September 9, Day 320:
I know I keep apologizing...but sorry, once again, for being so lame with this. It's hard having a job and having to actually DO things all day! :)
August 21, Day 301:
Rob starts school on September 3rd so he's been getting all his stuff together. Well, more accurately, he bought it and I organized it :)
August 22, Day 302:
My little sister graduated from Cosmetology School on August 22nd. I'm very proud of you Leeny!
August 23, Day 303:
Some fun Maine postcards for various people :)
August 24, Day 304:
Kind of a lame picture but I thought this was a pretty cool railing. This is at the college near our house (the one that Rob will attend in a few days).
August 25, Day 305:
These are staples in me and Rob's diet. I've eaten the rice since I was a kid...I always called it "Flavor Rice" because it has a really strong flavor (I guess that's the reason). We usually eat one of these two at most of our meals.
August 26, Day 306:
A woman I used to work with in Beloit, Debbie, does beautiful work painting glass and other materials. She made us these wine glasses, plus some super-cute wine charms, for my graduation gift. I think they're gorgeous :) I wish I drank wine!
August 27, Day 307:
One of two book pictures. This is my favorite chapter of the book "The Things They Carried" by Tim O'Brien, called "The Sweetheart of the Song Tra Bong." It's a very good book overall. I bought it for Robbie since it's war stories written by an average grunt. So far he really enjoys it.
August 28, Day 308:
Second book picture. I bought this book, "501 Russian Verbs" at UMF's bookstore. It conjugates 501 Russian verbs, which is absurdly useful. This verb is the verb "to light" or "to illuminate" and is pronounced "osveshchat."
August 29, Day 309:
Rob heading off to registration for school! I'm so proud :)
August 30, Day 310:
Sorry for taking so long!
August 12, Day 292:
Robbie's brother, Nick, came to visit us so we could all carpool to a family barbecue. Here they both are playing Wii. I think they look a ton alike, but not many people agree.
August 13, Day 293:
So I was walking down our very narrow stairs one morning and slipped somehow on my high heels. I think I left this dent before I crashed down the remaining stairs. I was in excruciating pain for a good week because of a pulled muscle from this fall. And now the stairs are forever marked :)
August 14, Day 294:
Pretty clouds across the street from us...nothing too exciting.
August 16, Day 296:
This is the school across the street from us. It's really a pretty building actually...it's been nice and quiet all summer and now the kids, parents and teachers are starting to come back and clog up the street. More fall!
August 17, Day 297:
This sign made me do a double-take...is the summer seriously almost over?!
August 18, Day 298:
I don't really need to describe this one...just a few anthills underneath our neighbor's car :) I think it looks pretty cool though, if I do say so myself.
August 19, Day 299:
These flowers looked kind of boring until I saw the stamen...looks like a cartoon or something.
August 20, Day 300:
I definitely thought this was a leaf with four beetles on it. Until I looked closer and noticed a whole beetle orgy.
I'm warning you ahead of time...pictures this week suck, a fact that Rob even pointed out to me.
August 3, Day 283:
I am officially cheating. I took this picture a couple of years ago, but it's gorgeous so I think I can forgive myself. This is the lake cove by my house.
August 4, Day 284:
We had chicken and is it just me, or is this shaped like the state of Maine? If you're not sure what Maine looks like, go look it up and get back to me. Rob said I was stretching it with this one.
August 5, Day 285:
August 6, Day 286:
Robbie's Wii! And the four games that we've been playing. Wii's definitely more of a non-serious game system, which is why I enjoy it so much. So far my favorite game is Lego Star Wars, which is exactly what it sounds like.
August 7, Day 287:
August 8, Day 288:
I bought Rob this semi-creepy turtle box for some holiday. Yeah, I understand that it's kind of creepy.
August 9, Day 289:
Two of Rob's Army staples. He had these glasses in Iraq, and they actually saved his eyes once. I made him the pillow for his 19th birthday and it turned out to be a life saver throughout his time in the Army. It fit in his rucksack when they went out into the field and he ended up being the only guy with a pillow in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness. :)
August 10, Day 290:
August 11, 291:
Some of the cards Rob got. From the front to the back, one from my mother, one from Rob's grandmother, and one from his mother.
First, I would like to say that our beef stew turned out beautifully and quite tasty.
July 31, Day 280:
You know how sometimes in a department/grocery store people will leave behind whole loads of groceries in an apparent moment of shopping frustration? Well we saw this today at Walmart and it struck me as so stereotypically female in nature. If you can't read all the labels, there are maxi pads, shampoo/conditioner, pain medicine, headache medicine, and midol. You know that this was either a woman or a man shopping for one.
August 1, Day 281:
Robbie got a Wii for his birthday (which is not until Tuesday). We had to buy an extra nunchuck and we got a pink cover for it so we'd know it was mine :)
August 2, Day 282:
I'll try to make this my last plant picture. Robbie bought these Venus Fly Traps to help us with our current fruit fly problem. Hopefully we can keep them alive because apparently they are very hard to take care of.
July 28, Day 277:
Lots of plant pictures. I really like this wee plant, partially because it's fuzzy and cute.
July 29, Day 278:
I have found love (again), and it is these shoes. They are absolutely adorable, they fit me well, and life is good.
We decided to try a little harder in our cooking ventures, and with the help of my mother we made beef stew. This is today and we haven't tried it yet, so wish us luck :)
July 21, Day 270:
July 22, Day 271:
Rob has this habit of leaving his socks in random places in the house. Usually they're clean and he's keeping them out for when he goes running next. I shouldn't complain, since I leave my clothes on the floor in our bedroom, haha.
July 23, Day 272:
We went to this beautiful lake in Wilton and went swimming. Here you can see the mountains in the distance. Couldn't have asked for a better day :)
July 24, Day 273:
Good old Maine church parking. You can't tell here but one of the cars is literally IN the road. You see this everywhere in Maine towns, and small towns everywhere I'm sure.
July 25, Day 274:
Cool guitar picture, nothing else :)
July 26, Day 275:
ArmyMans :) I bought Rob some of these and he put them in the pot where his cactus is. I think this picture is pretty cool.
July 27, Day 276:
We have this ivy plant that Rob got before the Army. It is not doing well and we don't know how to help it.
congrats to your sister! and tell rob good luck with classes :) how is work going? we need to catch... read more
